Ancient Feathers are only used in one recipe: the Azeos the Sky Titan Scanner. You need 10, along with five Ancient Gemstones and five Mechanical Parts, to craft the scanner. Being the only material that’s hard to find, getting even a single Ancient Feather leaves some keepers scratching their heads.
How to Get Ancient Feather in Core Keeper
The biome you can get Ancient Feather from is Azeos’ Wilderness, which is no coincidence! You’ll need to be far along to even have the Ancient Hologram Pod you need to craft the scanner, and chances are you’ve already slain the bosses you’ve come across.
How to Get to Azeos’ Wilderness
You’ll need to defeat all three bosses within the inner circle first and foremost, these being:
Glurch the Abominous Mass. Ghorm the Devourer. The Hive Mother.
Once completed, you can interact with the core to breach the Great Wall surrounding the inner area of the map. Beyond is Azeos’ Wilderness, and a whole new boss to fell: Azeos the Sky Titan. This is who you want to craft the Azeos the Sky Titan Tracker to hunt down.
Ancient Feather Drops
Once you get into the lush Azeos’ Wilderness, you should be on the hunt for Ancient Feathers.
It’s possible to find them in all their blue glory just on the ground in this biome, but you don’t have to rely on just the obvious. After all, there’s a better way.
Endemic flowers you find around the biome have a small chance of dropping an Ancient Feather, so be sure to slap them as you explore. The Caveling enemies in Azeos’ Wilderness also have a chance to drop feathers, though they can be dangerous.
Smash and slash your way through the area as you explore and with some luck, you should be able to amass enough feathers to craft the scanner.
Azeos the Sky Titan is a difficult boss, so be sure to journey to its location well-prepared. Once you arrive, you must interact with the colorful egg to spawn the boss in its full fury.
Getting 10 Ancient Feathers isn’t that bad — at least not as involved as finding tin. You just need to be in the right place to grab them up. Check out some of our other Core Keeper guides here on GameSkinny for more tips, such as how to get iron ore or how to go fishin'.
