OnMSFT interviewed CDPR’s John Mamais recently and raised the question of whether there will be a Switch Cyberpunk port. Mamais responded:
The Witcher 3 performs surprisingly well on the Switch, as we cover in our re-review. However, Mamais told OnMSFT Cyberpunk’s quest structure is much deeper, designs are more complex, and the open world itself is more complicated — the product of 15 designers rather than The Witcher 3’s handful.
As Mamais said, though, it probably isn’t impossible. Depending on what Sony does with PlayStation Remote Play in the future, we might even get our hands on Cyberpunk 2077 on the Switch without it actually running on the Switch itself.
Whatever platforms it does or doesn’t come to, Cyberpunk is still one of our most anticipated games of 2020. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Cyberpunk 2077 news as it’s pieced together.
