Our guide will provide you with tips on how to revive players in Dark and Darker, including both working methods.
Use the Altar of Resurrection
The most common way to revive your teammates is to use the Altar of Resurrection, which is one of the five types of shrines that can be encountered inside a dungeon of Dark and Darker.
Here is what you need to do in order to revive a player this way:
Approach a fallen teammate. Remove their chestplate. Pick up the Soul Heart of that player and place it in your inventory. Approach and interact with the closest Altar of Resurrection. Place the Soul Heart of the fallen player onto the altar.
The process will remove some of your own health, but it will be transferred to the revived player.
Use the Cleric Class
Cleric is the only class in Dark and Darker who can revive players without the Altar of Resurrection. It becomes possible once players equip the Requiem perk.
Note that you could only equip four perks in the last alpha, beginning with your first perk at the start of the game, and adding a new one at each fifth level, with the cap being level 15.
The Requiem perk allows players to revive teammates with 25% of their health, which is a lot more than at the Altar of Resurrection. Clerics may use the Altar of Resurrection in the same way as any other class, but they do not sacrifice their own HP in that case.
Follow these steps to revive a player using the Cleric class:
Approach the fallen teammate. Cast the Requiem spell. Hold the cast button until the spell fully charges.
The spell may take between 20 to 30 seconds, but if you release the cast button, the spell may not finish, so keep holding it until your teammate fully resurrects. Also, try not to move or pick up the Soul Heart while casting the spell, as this may interfere with the process.
That’s everything you need to know on how to revive players in Dark and Darker, and stay tuned for more Dark and Darker guides.
